Are you thinking of keeping a few cattle? It’s a big decision, but cattle can be very rewarding if you want to use grass to produce homegrown milk or meat. Beef cattle country is often upland or marginal land which is not suitable for growing commercial crops, but can produce good grass, which makes for a sustainable enterprise. A small acreage can provide a family with a great deal of interest as well as food.
