New technology changes the game in toad control – take up the challenge!
The cane toad is a well-known invasive pest in Australia. It was first introduced in Queensland in 1935 to control the cane beetle, a small beetle that was wreaking havoc with the sugar industry at the time. Unfortunately, cane toads had no impact on cane beetle populations but have since spread across the country. Cane toads have widespread negative impacts to native wildlife, domestic pets and even local agriculture in Australia.
