Pumpkins are a must-have in the self-sufficiency garden and keep well when stored correctly in the pantry.
While pumpkins have become a symbol of Halloween in October, an autumnal festival overseas, here in Australia they are harvested in our autumn, between February and June. There are many varieties and uses of this long storage cucurbit.
